In addition to providing family medicine services to our patients, Dr. Nigro also contributes extensively to other community needs, and provides medical leadership and support to the Bedford area. 

Darlene Nigro, D.O.

Dr. Darlene Nigro received her Bachelor of Science from Adelphi University in Garden City, N.Y. She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of Osteopathic Medicine & Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa. She completed her internal medical residency at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, N.J., where she served as chief medical resident. Dr. Nigro founded Bedford Medical in 1995. She is a member of the American Medical Association and the Medical Society of Virginia.

Josie Freeman, ANP-BC

Josie received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts in Lowell, Massachusetts. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut. She is a recipient of the Linda Richards/June Long Award and the Alexander and Bernard Memorial Award for demonstrating exemplary nursing care to patients. She is also a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
