General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on a variety of problems. The general surgeon has completed medical school, then a residency of five to seven years at an accredited teaching hospital. Some of our surgeons have advanced training or have completed accredited fellowships in particular sub-specialties. The scope of our practice encompasses the following:
