About Us
In December of 2014, Central Virginia Surgery and Seven Hills Surgical Associates joined Centra as one practice, Centra Medical Group Surgical Specialists. We pride ourselves on our collegial and collaborative working relationships with other surgeons and physicians in our community as well as the nursing and ancillary staff at the hospital and look forward to growing that relationship. Together, we carry on the tradition of providing the highest quality surgical care in a friendly, confidential and compassionate atmosphere.
We are continually working to enhance our skills, gain new expertise and to stay abreast of the rapidly changing fields of general, laparoscopic, oncologic and vascular surgery. We are active participants in the quality improvement and safety initiatives at Centra.
Our practice offers a complete range of general and vascular surgical services for our patients. Our surgeons are highly trained in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of problems, including benign and malignant breast disease, hernia repairs, abdominal surgery (intestine, colorectal, gallbladder, appendix, etc.), endoscopy (colon and stomach endoscopy), surgery for gastroesophageal reflux, benign and malignant skin lesions, dialysis access surgery, and vascular surgery. Many of these problems can be approached with advanced minimally invasive procedures.
We work together with patients, their families, other physicians and other health care providers to provide the care suited to your particular needs.

Patients are seen by appointment only. If you experience an emergency during office hours, we will try to work you into our schedule. Please call for instructions before coming to our office.
Since surgery often means treating acute injuries or illnesses, there will be times when our doctors will be delayed or cannot keep the scheduled appointment time. We strive to keep these inconveniences to a minimum and we ask your understanding. We assure you that if the emergency were yours, we would place it ahead of other commitments.
If you schedule an appointment and later feel you don’t need our services, please contact our office as far in advance as possible to cancel.
We suggest that you contact your insurance carrier to confirm benefits and obtain a referral authorization if necessary.
